This book, written by Gabriel García Márquez manages to capture a story that revolves around the perseverance of a frustrated love. Florentino Ariza has fallen victim of love at 18 is obsessed with Fermina Daza, a beautiful young woman who is spending every day due to school, beating his resistance and thanks to the complicity of Fermina's aunt, who takes the role of matchmaker, begins a courtship with letters and serenades which created an impossible relationship as the rigid social norms and the pride of Fermina prevent any contact between the lovers.
