My favorite book is the complete saga of Harry Potter written by JK Rowling. I like it because it has action, fantasy and the latest books involves feelings among the players, which complements the whole plot somehow interesting stories. Moreover, the way it is narrated the book allows easy interpretation, with simple language that makes persons can connect better with the text.

Ischia is a very interesting book about a girl who is waiting for a friend to go on a trip. While she is waiting, she remembers and she imagines a lot of things. She is waiting for something that will arrive but it doesn´t arrive yet, the topic of the book is about that time between two actions, about waiting, the anxiety, the expectation, the death time.
About what you think before make an action, a movement, a displacement, a fret, a change. The moment when you remember all the things that lead you to that situation, to that time and that place, the instant when you aren´t sure about what you are doing, the instant when you doubt, and you try to solve it by remembering. This book show how a person can remember all her life and can save the world in her head in a very short time, but in the end it`s doesn´t change anything, all is kind of artificial and ephemeral.

Green Street is a film about the issue of hooliganism in English football. It shows the story of Matt Buckner an American who arrives to England after being thrown off his journalism course at Harvard University because he is unfairly blamed for drug possession. Actually, cocaine is discovered in Matt’s room; however it belongs to Jeremy, his roommate.
Matt is afraid to say the true because Jeremy’s father is a powerful man. Additionally, Jeremy pays him for taking the blame and then Matt goes to England where he will live with his sister Shanon, her husband and son. There Matt meets Steve’s brother, a rebel young who agrees to take Matt to a football match. Before that match, Matt and Pete go to the local pub where Pete and his friends meet and get drunk previous every match, they are friendly with Matt except Bower due his origin. Finally, they head to the stadium.
After the match, Pete and his friends agree to fight with some Birmingham fans, but Matt decides that isn’t for him and he heads home. On his way, he is attacked by three Birmingham fans and rescued by West Ham fans. So, Matt is introduced to the English soccer hooliganism. Pete explains him about it and tells him that Hooligans gangs are known as “firm” which they belong is one of the most famous, the GSE (Green Street Elite) and they supports the West Ham United team. Steve finds out and he goes to the pub for warning Matt and there he finds out that Steve used to be “The Major” of the GSE, buthe withdrewfromthegang when in a fight with Millwall the son of Millwall’s leader –Tommy Hatcher– died.
After a discussion Pete forgives Matt but Bower doesn’t, so he goes enraged to Millwall’s local and asks Tommy to attack the pub where the GSE members are, and he accepts because he knows Steve is there. When the pub is attacked Tommy confronts Steve and he stabs Steve in the neck with a broken bottle. Bower reconsiders just time for helping Steve. Later the two firms meet for fighting and there is Matt, but during the fight, Matt’s sister with her son appear and they are attacked by a Millwall hooligan, then Matt and Bower help them. Moreover, Pete declares that Tommy was to blame for his son’s death, then Tommy furious attacks and kills Pete. The fight halts at this point.
Matt returns to USA and confronts Jeremy, he cheats his old friend and with a tape recorder he gets the Jeremy’s confession, so he says that it’s the ticket back to Harvard. The film ends with Matt singing the great club of West Ham United on the streets of his country.
In this film we can appreciate the differences between the way of speaking American and British English. Especially due the approach of American English in West, it’s more complicated for us to understand the British pronunciation; this because it has a tendency to respect the pronunciation of many words of French origin and the emphasis placed on the syllables of the word varies from one to another.
